SHARe
For the past nine years, Afya Mzuri has been a key implementer of a range of workplace-related HIV and AIDS activities supported by a number of donors. In respect of this, Afya Mzuri initiated workplace programmes in eight companies in 2005 with financial support from USAID through the SHARe programme. In 2008/2009 Afya Mzuri was contracted by SHARe to undertake a project aimed at increasing the availability of abstinence and being faithful (A&B) communications materials through its Resource Centres.
SHARe supported activities for 2009/2010 include:
- Printing and distribution of Real Woman, Real Man (RW/RM) materials
- Piloting of logistics system (distribution and tracking of materials)
- Training for 200 people from all provinces in the Safe from Harm parent-child communication programme and use of RM/RW materials.
This program is funded by USAID and JSI, with activities taking place in the Copperbelt and Luapula Provinces.
